Membership

Membership is critical to every Rotary Club. This committee is responsible growing membership, engaging and retaining members. Additionally, the Membership Committee also delivers new member orientation and acts as the Club
compassion team as well.

Fig Garden Rotary Foundation
Our Mission

To receive donations of monies and property to manage, grow and distribute to charitable organizations.

Purpose

As stewards of precious resources, Fig Garden Rotary Foundation provides leadership that results in the perpetual funding to support the vast and diverse humanitarian investments by Fig Garden Rotary Club in local, regional, and global communities.

The Foundation Board mirrors the Board of the Fig Garden Rotary Club which is elected by the membership. Directors terms are generally two years, one-half elected every year. This ensures continuity yet a gradual rotation to members that contribute fresh perspectives and priorities.

Our focus is generally on causes that support youth. In the extraordinary times we faced in 2020, our investments were expanded to people impacted by the massive and historical wildfires and the COVID19 pandemic. We are helping causes that
provide for the hungry, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), Veterans activities, shelter, displaced animals, and so many more.

During this pandemic, our fundraising events have been placed on hold for two president’s terms. To assure our work continues, Club members are stepping up to help by making personal financial commitments to our Foundation so that our precious resources continue to grow and will be available whenever and wherever the need.

Fig Garden Rotary Foundation is designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Public Image

In 2011, Rotary International embarked on a multiyear initiative of unprecedented scale to strengthen the Rotary image.  In addition to expanding public understanding of what Rotary does, we want to motivate, engage, and inspire current and prospective members, donors, partners, and staff.

Rotary’s Public Image is how Rotary is perceived by the world. Rotary’s “Voice” is the unique tone and style in which we communicate. There is no organization quite like Rotary.  By using a unified “voice” in all our interactions, we ensure our communications capture our distinct character — and how people experience Rotary.  By speaking, writing, and designing in one voice, our communications will look, feel, and sound unmistakably like Rotary.

Events

Fig Garden Rotary events are good opportunities to network, enjoy getting to know members, have fun, provide community service and sometimes raise funds for our
investment in community needs and projects.
